CLUB CONTINUES TO UPGRADE FACILITIES
The Chairman and Board of the GCTC are taking positive steps to ensure that the Club’s facilities are continually being upgraded for the benefit of all stakeholders.
First on the Agenda was the 12mtr extension to the Mounting Yard Enclosure completed on Friday 19/09/08. This extension creates a spacious area for strappers and their charges prior to racing and also allows members and patrons a closer view of the race field and winners.
Prime Minister’s Bar in the ground floor Members area has been enhanced for the comfort of our members and guests. Works began in this area on Monday 22nd September and were completed prior to the 2008 Melbourne Cup.
The Club’s premier location – The Skyline Restaurant – has also been upgraded with extensions being carried out to meet the increasing demand for this extremely popular venue.
As construction works will be taking place during the next six months the Club’s foremost responsibility will be to ensure that all members and guests experience very minimal impact and inconvenience during these upgrades.
The Chairman and Board are very excited about these on-going developments to the Club and sharing the benefit of improved facilities.
