What is the minimum number of people required to book a function at the Gold Coast Turf Club? |
| A: |
You will require a minimum of 30 people to hold a function at the Club. There are other options for smaller groups. Contact the Functions and Catering Department for more information. |

How do I secure my function booking? |
| A: |
We require a non-refundable deposit of $200 or 10% of the catering cost (whichever is greater) to secure your function booking. Full payment is required for feature raceday packages and Skyline Restaurant bookings. |

Can you book a Marquee with no catering package? |
| A: |
No. All our function venues including Marquees are sold with function packages included. |

Can you book/buy a corporate box at Gold Coast Turf Club? |
| A: |
Gold Coast Turf Club does not have corporate boxes. The Skyline Restaurant is a great alternative - includes a 4-course lunch with full wait service and views overlooking the winning post of the racetrack. Please refer to the Skyline Restaurant section of the website for more information. |

Can you bring your own food or drinks into the Gold Coast Turf Club? |

No. Due to by-laws you are unable to bring your own food or drink into the Club. There are a number of restaurants, cafes and bistros throughout the Club where you can purchase food and drink on the day. |

Can I bring a birthday cake into the public areas? |

No. Due to Health and Safety Regulations, this is not permitted. |

Does the Gold Coast Turf Club conduct night racing? |

No, however you can still book a function in the evenings and during the days if there is no race meeting on. Please refer to our Function Information section and email us for a quote. |

Can we bring our own tables and chairs to set up in the shade? |

This is generally not required as we have ample seating available, however yes you can bring in fold-out chairs only. We do not allow any shade cloths, tents or large umbrellas. |

Why would I want to upgrade my plastic badge to a metal badge? |
| A: |
Your plastic member's badge will not give you access to the Level 2 Lounge of the Member's area on feature days such as Melbourne Cup Day, Magic Millions Day and Prime Minister's Cup Day. Plastic badge holders will be restricted to the Ground Floor member's area and the First Floor member's grandstand. |

Can I buy a ticket to the member's area? |

Members of the Gold Coast Turf Club can purchase an additional two tickets on a raceday. For a non-feature raceday the price is $15 per ticket (plus gate entry). The price varies for feature days and semi-feature days. |

How much is the courtesy bus and do I need to book? |
| A: |
Gold Coast Turf Club offer our patrons this free bus service every Saturday. There is a southern service operating from Tweed Heads. You are not required to make a booking. The buses depart the Club 15 minutes after the last local race. Please check the timetables in the General section of the website, or contact the Club to obtain a copy. |

How do I apply to become a member of the Gold Coast Turf Club? |

Refer to the section of this website titled "Membership". You will need to complete an application form which is submitted to our Board for approval. You will also need to supply a photocopy of you photo identification to accompany your application. |

What happens if I don't know any members of the Club to propose and second my membership application? |
| A: |
The Board will review your application at their next board meeting. If they are happy to approve your application for membership then they will propose and second on your behalf. |

Can names be swapped on the membership? |
| A: |
No. The only time a name can be swapped on a membership is if the member is deceased and their partner wishes to take up the restricted membership. Everyone else must apply for membership through the normal process of application. |

If I am waiting for my membership application to be approved, can I come to the Club? |
| A: |
Yes. If your application is in the process of being approved, you are able to contact the Club to arrange ticketing. We will provide you with passes for the raceday you wish to attend. |
